Conceyu Abiertu are a group of citizens Grao of different policy areas social, cultural and trade union movements of various types that are aware of the ineffectiveness of current municipal policies and the severe crisis suffered permanent residents of Grao (Asturias) believe that it is time to seek new ways of doing politics by organizing a municipal movement through the open council. Our project is called open Conceyu precisely to claim this ancient Asturian democratic institution as a tool that serves to join collective will and the basis for a real local democracy, controlling and preventing political corruption cases and recover the essence of local politics made by and citizens. This is our declaration of principles.
1) Conceyu Abiertu proposes a new policy based on the recovery of caucuses and direct democracy at the municipal or local level.
2) Abiertu Conceyu city is to regain freedom against the existing state structure of municipalities. The town is a reality, he has a sense of common neighbors indestructible. Closest to these are the parishes, territorial entities below the town and should have special importance in open council.
